Subscription management
All Muddled subscriptions are billed by the Apple App Store. To view, change, or cancel:
- Open the iOS Settings app.
- Tap your name at the top of the screen.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap Muddled.
- Tap Cancel Subscription, or switch tiers from this screen.
Cancelling stops the next renewal — you retain access until the current billing period ends. Apple handles refunds via reportaproblem.apple.com; we cannot process App Store refunds directly.
Account deletion
Delete your account from Settings → Delete Account in the iOS app or web dashboard. This removes your profile, all recipes (including drafts), photos, menus, workspace memberships, and pour-cost data within 30 days. The action is atomic and irreversible. Frequently asked questions
I can't sign in. What now?
Confirm you’re using the same email address you originally signed up with. If you used “Sign in with Apple”, you must use the same Apple ID. For email accounts, use the “Forgot password” flow on the sign-in screen. If you’re still stuck, email travis@trymuddled.com from the email on the account and we’ll help.
How do I cancel my Pro or Bar subscription?
All Muddled subscriptions are billed by Apple. To cancel: open the iOS Settings app → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Muddled → Cancel Subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal — you keep access until the end of the current billing period. Apple manages refunds; for refund requests, see Apple’s Report a Problem page.
What's included in the 7-day free trial?
New subscribers to Pro or Bar get a 7-day free trial. During the trial you have full access to every feature of that plan. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged. Free trials are available once per Apple ID per subscription group.
How does AI import work?
Paste a URL, snap a photo of a recipe card or menu, or paste text, and Claude (the AI model from Anthropic) extracts the structured ingredients, method, garnish, and glassware. The Free plan includes 3 AI imports per day; Pro and Bar are unlimited. We do not store the original photo or pasted text after the import completes — only the recipe you choose to save is kept.
Can I use Muddled on web too?
Yes. Visit trymuddled.com and sign in with the same account you use on iOS. Your recipes, menus, and workspaces sync across both platforms.
How do I delete my account and all my data?
On iOS: Settings → Delete Account. On web: Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This removes your profile, recipes, photos, menus, workspace memberships, and pour-cost data within 30 days. The action is atomic and irreversible — see our Privacy Policy for details on what is removed and the retention timeline for encrypted backups.
I lost a recipe / my data is gone.
If a recipe was visible recently and is now missing, check the Version History on that recipe (Pro+) or whether visibility was changed. If you have a Bar subscription, check whether a workspace member removed it. If you cannot recover the recipe in-app, email travis@trymuddled.com with the recipe name and approximate date — we keep backups for 60 days and can restore in some cases.
How do I request my data or invoke my GDPR / CCPA rights?
Use the in-app JSON export (iOS: Settings → Data → Export) to download your full recipe library. For any other rights request — access, correction, deletion, portability — email travis@trymuddled.com from the address on your account. We respond within 30 days.
Is there a refund for the current month?
Apple handles all subscription refunds for App Store purchases. Submit a request at reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not have the ability to refund App Store transactions directly.
Reporting abuse or inappropriate content
If you see a public recipe that violates our Terms of Service — spam, harassment, plagiarism of someone else’s work, or content that encourages dangerous activity — tap the (•••) menu on the recipe and select Report, or email travis@trymuddled.com with the recipe URL. We act on every report within 24 hours.
